Kam and I are thrilled to share we are expecting!!! We are incredibly happy and of course, a little nervous too. I remember on New Years Eve, we shared our hopes and dreams for 2019 and we both said our number one wish is to get pregnant.

Our baby fever grew stronger in February when both of our brothers had the first grand baby on each side. (They are the cutest babies!!) However, we had some final trips we wanted to enjoy before really trying to conceive. In March we took an amazing last big trip together to Morocco and in April I went to Austin, TX with my friend Colleen. We dubbed that girls trip my “Momchlerette” because after Austin the baby making was really on!
Getting Pregnant
I always thought I would have trouble getting pregnant. Despite being a healthy person, I have an autoimmune condition (my immune system can get confused and attack itself — even when my body is healthy). Although people with autoimmune conditions can conceive fine, I’ve always feared my body wouldn’t cooperate. I thank God I was wrong.

I’m so grateful and shocked that I was able to get pregnant quickly. I know it can be a long and difficult journey for many people, so we feel incredibly lucky. We pray every day our baby grows strong and healthy. So far, everything has been going well.
Nearly halfway to baby
We are 19 weeks along now. I live to hear our baby’s heart beat at every doctor’s visit and feel our little one fluttering around in my belly when I lay down at night.
It’s such a special time. I’m so happy and grateful to be starting a family with Kam. He is such a wonderful husband and picturing him with our “mini” makes my heart smile. I can’t wait to see what our baby looks like and meet the tiny human growing inside my belly! January can’t come soon enough!
I spill the tea on my first trimester in this post. I talk sex, mental health, boobs, weight and products I've loved.

I have more to share like how I didn’t know I was pregnant, how the pregnancy has been going so far, and the cute way we told my parents the news. I’m also going to have a lot of questions for you guys — and I welcome all the tips and stories of your experiences!
For now, Kam and I are soaking in these precious moments together, enjoying our “babymoon” on South Lake Tahoe. Thanks so much for taking to the time to read about our big news!
