Nursery Vision

Geometric wall paper: Target // Midcentury Modern Crib: West Elm X Pottery Barn Kids // Color Bar Rug: Crate and Barrel Kids // Colorful Mobile: Pottery Barn Kids // Book Shelves: Pottery Barn Kids // Modern dresser with changing top: West Elm x Pottery Barn Kids // Geometric baby blanket: West Elm // Glider & Ottoman: Room & Board // Red side table: Room and Board // Sheepskin area rug: Pottery Barn

Never in my life have I cared so much about decor! Pregnancy nesting is real, my friends. As you can see by the vision board above, I've laid out my plan of attack for our son's nursery. There is no theme. It's more of a vibe: bright, modern and playful.

We have the wall paper accent wall installed and the big furniture pieces, but there is still more work to be done. Even though it's still a work in progress, I decided to share the vision board now because many of the pieces are on sale for Cyber Monday. Here are the sales:

  • West Elm: Up to 70% off
  • Crate & Barrel Kids: 20-30% off and free shipping
  • Pottery Barn Kids: Up to 70% off

I made a point to buy "Green Guard Certified" furniture, which means the pieces meet or exceed stringent chemical and VOC emission standards. As a new mom, I'm all about decreasing the toxic chemicals where possible -- especially where my baby sleeps.

I love this room already! I'm having so much fun organizing his closet with his itty bitty baby clothes and sitting in the glider imaging life with our baby boy!

Thanks for checking out the nursery plan and sharing in our excitement for our little one! XOXO

Lizzy

Chicago museums are starting to reopen as we enter Chicago museums are starting to reopen as we enter stage four! 🙌 This photo was taken at @msichicago not long before lockdown. I was so happy to show Theo some of Chicago’s gems! 💎 Personally, I won’t be rushing back to anything indoors, but I’m glad to see things reopening and hope it can be done safely. By the way, @msichicago is expected to reopen this summer and you can get tickets now for @shedd_aquarium and @lincolnparkzoo. 🦥 What will you do now that we’re in stage four?

Today is the first time I left my baby with a sitter and the longest time I have been away from him. 😭 He is in good hands though. Poor guy hardly knows anyone but Kam and me. We kept him to ourselves the first 8 weeks of his life because we were scared of the flu. Then as soon as we felt ready to share him, Coronavirus hit! 🤦‍♀️

The case involved Mildred and Richard Loving who were arrested in Virginia for their interracial marriage. This case is a reason so many mixed-race families exist today. 💙 #lovingday #lovingday2020 📸: @fabiolacaravaphotography
