Best Free Workouts in Chicago - Summer 2018
Exercising outdoors is only bearable a few months of the year (at least for me anyway!). So make the most of it while you can with these free workouts in Chicago. From yoga classes to strength training and Zumba, there's a free fitness class for everyone.
1. Millennium Park Summer Workouts
Some of my favorite free workouts in Chicago are held here. They offer a variety of free workout classes at Millennium Park during summer so you have plenty to choose from. They all take place on Saturday mornings from June 2–September 1 and start every hour. Pilates (7 a.m.), yoga (8 a.m.), strength training (9 a.m.), and Zumba (10 a.m.) are on the schedule. Plus, jumpstart your Tuesdays and Thursdays with a morning yoga workout at 7:30 a.m between June 6–August 31. All exercise classes take place on the Great Lawn and last 45 minutes. Remember to bring your own water and mat.
2. Fitness Series at Gallagher Way at Wrigley
If you like to break a sweat in boot camp-style workout classes, get your booty to Gallagher Way (formerly known as The Park at Wrigley) for some high-intensity cardio/strength-focused workouts for free! Classes are held every Monday-Thursday, plus there’s a running club on Saturdays. The workouts start on July 9th and continue until Sept 29th, 2018. This is an awesome outdoor venue right next to Wrigley Field, and Chicago Athletic Club instructors lead the classes. Here is the schedule:
- Monday and Wednesday HIIT classes: 7 am – 7:45 am
- Tuesday and Thursday Yoga classes and first Thursday of the month Pilates: 7am-8am
- Saturday Run Club: 7 am – 8 am

Every Sunday this summer, Corepower Yoga will host free yoga classes at this vintage sports club and eatery. Classes go from 8:30am-9:30am. Just bring your mat and chill morning vibes to engage in some Vinyasa flow yoga lead by a Core Power instructor. After class, stick around to cool off with free frosé!

4. Free Yoga at Garfield Park Conservatory
Yogis of all levels are welcome to attend classes at Garfield Park Conservatory. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Stick around after yoga to explore the lush flora. The classes are free, however, a $5 donation is suggested. Also, don’t forget to bring your own mat. Don't have one? Get one here for less than $15.

Workout Gear
If you need new sneaks, check out this pair of Flyknits ($25 off right now!) I am pretty loyal to Nike for gym shoes. I have two pairs of Flyknit running shoes (one in black and one rainbow colored). Here are some other cute workout outfits!

Thanks for the round up! Definitely heading to Wrigley for a class!
I didn't know most of these, I was basically only aware of the ones at Millenium Park. Navy Pier is so close to me so I will definitely check that out. I've also been wanting to go to the Garfield Park Conservatory so this is a perfect excuse!
