The Chicago Auto Show 2019 gives you an opportunities to check out the newest and hottest cars. Automakers from around the world come to Chicago to showcase nearly 1,000 vehicles. In this post, I will give you an exclusive look inside the Concept and Technology Garage (not open to the public) and highlight some of the best exhibits and vehicles at the Chicago Auto Show 2019.
Inside the Concept & Technology Garage
The Concept and Technology Garage takes places before the Chicago Auto Show opens to the public. It gives the media an opportunity to preview some of the newest and most innovative vehicles at the show. Watch the video as I take you inside the Concept and Technology garage and drive the 10 millionth Ford Mustang made!
2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500
This is the fastest, most powerful Ford Mustang yet! The Shelby GT500 hits 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds, and can go a quarter-mile in under 11 seconds.
Nissan Kicks Sound Machine
Powerful speakers and a DJ mixer board emerge from this concept car so you can take the dance party anywhere. The audio system has 5500 watts including 2000 watts of bass making for a pulsating sound. Needless to say, this was an exciting attraction at the Concept and Technology Garage!
SlingShot SLR 2019
This eye-catching three-wheel vehicle combines the features of a car with the open-air feeling of a motorcycle. You may see these cruising downtown Chicago, because the Slingshot is street legal!
Toyota Tundra Pizza Hut Truck
This Toyota Tundra is equipped with pizza-making robots so you can enjoy pizza on the go. Perfect for your next tailgate!
Vehicle Debuts at the Chicago Auto Show 2019
Automakers use the Chicago Auto Show 2019 to introduce their new vehicles. This makes sense since more people visit the Chicago Auto Show than any other auto show in the country! Trucks and SUVs stole the show this year, although luxury cars are always popular. Here are some of the debuts that caught my eye.
2020 Range Rover Evoque
The 2020 Range Rover Evoque debuted for the first time in the United States and showcased on an indoor off-roading course. The new Evoque features a stunning design, advanced driver assistance technologies, a hybrid-electric powertrain option and off-road technologies. The new Evoque is a compact SUV, smaller than the original Range Rover. Check out the debut in the video below.
"The new Evoque in particular speaks to an urban customer, in terms of its practicality functionality," said Jaguar Land Rover North America, President & CEO, Joachim Eberhardt.
Alfa Romeo 4c spider Italia
Super sexy and super rare! It stands out in the "Misano Blue" color and is limited to 15 samples.
2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road
My husband and I are in the market for a compact SUV like this. We're feeling it for its size and safety features. The small SUV can conquer just about any terrain: pavement, mud and sand, rock and dirt, or snow. And when you live in Chicago, you want a vehicle that's reliable in snow!
Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD is a beast! The three-quarter-ton pickup truck can tow 35,500 pounds -- that's more than any other consumer truck on the market.
Interactive Exhibits
This year, there are more opportunities for you to go for a ride in one of the cars at the Chicago Auto Show! The Jeep Rubicon and Range Rovers were a few of the cars available for rides around the track. These experiences showed off the off-roading abilities of some of the vehicles.
Super Gallery & More at Chicago Auto Show 2019
Check out the video below to see some of the sickest rides at the show! One of the most popular exhibits at the show is the Super Car Gallery where you can see the ultra-lux vehicles like Bentleys, Rolls-Royces, and McLarens. The Chicago Auto Show 2019 ends on February 18th, but will return again next year.
