One of My Favorite Chicago Rooftop Bars
There's really no better place to be than The J. Parker on a sunny Chicago summer day with a signature cocktail in hand, gazing out over Lake Michigan. Take the elevator to the 13th floor at Hotel Lincoln, and you'll see what I mean. The elevator opens to reveal expansive views of Lincoln Park, the Gold Coast, and Lake Michigan. That epic view is why The J. Park has continued to be a Chicago hot spot since it opened in 2012.

Food and Drinks at The J. Parker
While the view is the main draw, one of Chicago's leading restaurant groups, Boka Restaurant Group, ensures the rooftop ambiance, cocktails, and bites are on point too. The J. Parker offers tropical cocktails, small plates such as truffle fries and buffalo cauliflower, and a few larger entrees like burgers. This summer, they are offering $5 frosé on Fridays between 1-4 p.m.

Year-Round Views
A retractable glass roof keeps the bar open year round. During the summer, it can get crazy busy, and they only take reservations for larger groups. The key is to get there early (like right when they open) so you can stake out a spot. By the way, the corner with the comfy couches is the best spot to snag!
When you are looking for things to do in Chicago during the winter, you can still check out The J. Parker. The glass roof lets you take in the views while staying cozy indoors. Come during the holiday season to sip a signature cocktail while overlooking the twinkle of Lincoln Park Zoo's Zoo Lights.
