Free Workouts in Chicago – Summer 2017
There’s a new place in Chicago to blast calories on a bike, and you can check it out for free for a limited time. Cyclebar Fulton Market, located in the West Loop, is kicking off its grand opening with free 50-minute spin classes between June 23-July 1. You can reserve two free rides online. Just create an account, select a time, and choose the option for two free rides. Hurry before all the seats sell out! I’m a Cyclebar Ambassador, so I hope to see you at a ride soon!
A variety of free workout classes are held at Millennium Park this summer! On Saturdays, June 10–September 2, Pilates (7 a.m.), Yoga (8 a.m.), Strength Training (9 a.m.), and Zumba (10 a.m.) are on the schedule. Get in an early yoga workout on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 7:30 a.m between June 6–August 31. The classes take place on the Great Lawn and last 45 minutes.
If you like to break a sweet in bootcamp-style workout classes, get your booty to The Park at Wrigley at 7 a.m. on June 21, July 5 & 19, and August 2, 16 & 30th! CrossTownFitness is hosting high-intensity workouts for free! Yogis of all levels are welcome to attend classes at Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 North Central Park Avenue. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. The classes are free, however a $5 donation is suggested. Don’t forget to bring your own mat. Don’t have one? Get one here for less than $15.
Instructors from top fitness centers in Chicago like Fitness Formula Clubs (FFC) and The Bar Method will lead free workout classes at the Field Museum. The classes take place Sunday morning at 8 a.m.-9 a.m. from July 9 through August 20 on the Northeast Terrace. If it rains, classes will be held under a tent. Tuesday evenings at Navy Pier you have two chances to get in a free workout. Starting at 6 p.m. there will be group fitness classes such as Zumba, Werq, and Bollyx. Then at 7:30 p.m., bring your mat for sunset yoga. All classes last one hour. This free workout series lasts from June-August 2017.
